Bucharest Hosts Renewable Energy Investors from 20 Countries at the Solar Energy Bucharest Summit

The most important B2B event in the renewable energy sector will open its doors on April 22, 2026, at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest. Solar Energy Bucharest Summit will take place between April 22–23 and will bring together 2,000 participants from 20 countries, representing companies developing renewable energy projects in Romania and the Balkans.

The event will follow an expo-conference format, featuring 40 exhibitors, including equipment manufacturers, EPC companies and providers of software solutions for operations and maintenance, with a combined turnover of over EUR 36 billion and investments exceeding EUR 1 billion in Romania.

For the first time, Solar Energy Bucharest Summit will address topics of high relevance for a specialized audience, such as cost optimization, project financing and workforce qualification in the renewable energy sector. The 5th edition of the event aims to further strengthen Romania’s position as a regional hub for green energy investments and to facilitate dialogue between the private sector, investors and public authorities.

Romania’s energy market is currently going through one of the most dynamic development periods in Europe, particularly in the renewable energy segment. Installed photovoltaic capacity reached approximately 5 GW by the end of 2024, with a record annual growth rate supported by significant investments and European funding programs. An important component is represented by utility-scale projects, reflecting the maturation of the market and the growing interest of institutional investors.

Growth prospects remain strong, with Romania expected to exceed 10 GW of installed capacity in the coming years, supported by a solid pipeline of projects at various stages of development.

Among the speakers at the event are representatives of public authorities and industry experts, including Cristina Pruna, Vice-President of the Industry and Infrastructure Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, Sandor Bende, Chairman of the Infrastructure Committee of the Senate, Peter Wiingaard, Training Project Manager at the Global Wind Organization, as well as representatives of industry associations — Martin Moise, First Vice-President of PATRES, and Andrei Manea, Executive Director of RPIA.

The event’s partner companies include: Alive Capital, Amperium, ENEVO Group, Enson, Eyerod, Extroplastica, GTA Energy, HeliopolisRO Energy, HVAC Systems, Ion Ventures, JA Solar, KP Solar Group, Lemetal, LONGi Solar, Monsson Trading, Nestlers, OK Group, Parapet, Photomate and SKE Engineering (Huawei distributors), ProCredit Bank, Pyralis, RenewAcad, Roxtec, StarCharge, Sunotec, ThinkBlu, Veltol, Waldevar, Wiren and YEO Teknoloji Enerji.
