WEC/RNC Association Members’ General Assembly
WEC/RNC organized, on March 31, the works of the Annual General Assembly, in a framework dedicated to professional dialogue, the evaluation of the results obtained and the establishment of development directions for the next period, in an atmosphere characterized by openness, transparency and collaborative spirit.
A central point of the meeting was the analysis of the activity carried out in 2025. The members discussed at length the report of the Board of Directors, highlighting the projects carried out, the consolidated partnerships and the initiatives that contributed to the promotion of the energy field. Next, the execution of the income and expenditure budget and the auditor’s report on the verification of the financial and accounting records were presented, documents that confirmed the responsible and transparent use of the organization’s resources.
Looking to the future, the General Assembly approved the activity plan and budget for 2026, documents that outline the main strategic priorities, including the development of professional projects, increasing the visibility of the organization and strengthening institutional collaborations. Also, the update of the composition of the Board of Directors and the election of the censor for 2026 were validated, decisions that contribute to the continuity and stability of the organization’s management.
An important moment of the meeting was dedicated to the update of the WEC/RNC Statute, in order to align it with good governance and integrity practices. The adopted amendments introduce clarifications regarding the conditions that the officials and members of the WEC/RNC Board of Directors must meet, based on ethical standards. At the same time, the concept of a representative in the territory was introduced, with a role in promoting the mission and values of the association, supporting the organization of regional events and developing relationships with members throughout the country.
Finally, the General Assembly celebrated the performance and professional involvement by approving the granting of the Title of Honorary Member as well as by granting the WEC/RNC Medal Certificate and Distinction to personalities with remarkable contributions to the affirmation of Romanian energy and who were actively involved in the activity of the association. These moments highlighted the importance of the professional community and the recognition of individual merits in the development of the sector.
Through the decisions adopted and the constructive dialogue that characterized the entire meeting, the General Assembly reconfirmed the role of WEC/RNC as a platform for collaboration and expertise in the energy field, reaffirming the organization’s commitment to transparency, professionalism and sustainable development.
The Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC/RNC) Association comprises the largest national network of energy specialists and is the main energy organization in Romania, a founding member of the World Energy Council since 1924. WEC/RNC is a professional, apolitical, non-governmental, non-profit or patrimonial organization and focuses the interests of various institutions and organizations in Romania interested in energy issues and its relationship with the economy and the environment, of specialists and civil society.
