Prime Batteries Technology Secures a Spot in BNEF’s Global Tier 1 Energy Storage List

Prime Batteries Technology, a leading European Energy Storage Systems manufacturer, has achieved prestigious recognition by securing a spot in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 list of top global energy storage equipment producers. This marks the first time a Romanian company has entered this elite ranking, highlighting Romania’s rising influence in sustainable energy solutions. This recognition underlines Prime Batteries’ commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative manufacturing processes. The achievement not only elevates Romanian tech on the world stage but also accelerates the clean energy transition.

Prime is one of the leading energy storage solutions manufacturers in the European Union. The company was incorporated in 2016 in Bucharest, Romania and has mastered full Li-Ion cell-to-system production with a capacity of 2.3 GWh/year. The company has experts in energy storage systems based on Li-Ion batteries and more than 45+ certified products in the market.

In cooperation with strategic partners, Prime Batteries produces batteries for significantly less cost using the concept of smart factory, innovative manufacturing, reduction of waste, and the simple optimization of locating most manufacturing process under one roof. BNEF Tier 1 Status

The BNEF Tier 1 list is a globally recognized benchmark for the renewable energy industry, identifying manufacturers whose products have demonstrated a high level of quality and reliability. This qualification is considered the gold standard for project developers, financial institutions, and asset owners seeking to de-risk their investments.

The Tier 1 Energy Storage list is an inventory of companies whose batteries and/or energy storage systems have recently been selected by unaffiliated parties and delivered to stationary energy storage project sites. The list is published quarterly and is intended to help participants in the power industry understand which energy storage providers are supplying to project developers and owners.
